Management assistant for wholesale and foreign trade management
This occupation is a purely commercial occupation. The training is dual and lasts three years, alternating between the company and school. Wholesale and foreign trade management assistants work primarily in the office on the computer and on the telephone. Here you can use special software to control business processes, compare prices or track deliveries.
Training as a mechatronics technician
Mechatronics is made up of the fields of mechanics, electronics and information technology. This is what you need to bring with you: technical understanding, manual dexterity and a basic understanding of mathematics. Mechatronics technicians work with mechanical, electronic and electrical components and are responsible for the maintenance and repair of machines. The training lasts three years and is also dual, with school and company alternating.

In 2015, Julia Fröhlich began her training as assistant in wholesale and foreign trade with an additional qualification in international business management. Today, export is also her speciality. This is where she switched to in 2018 after completing her training. Every metering and mixing system from DOPAG that is exported around the world now crosses her desk. In addition, Julia successfully completed her part-time degree in business administration in 2022.

Thomas Can is passionate about e-commerce and manages the online shop of Hilger u. Kern Industrial Technology. In 2017, he began his training with us as a assistant in wholesale and foreign trade. After successfully completing his training, he moved to the e-commerce team. He is an expert for the shop software, maintains the current products, adds new products to the shop and continuously develops the online shop. He is currently completing further training to become an e-commerce manager.

Fabian Merk began his dual study programme in mechatronics with us in 2019. He passed through numerous departments, actively worked there and was able to supervise varied projects during the three years. After successfully completing his Bachelor's degree, he began a Master's degree in industrial engineering. During this time, he remained loyal to us as a working student and is currently writing his master's thesis in the company. It is already clear that he will remain with the company as an engineer after his Master's degree.
